“Tricks of the Trade”: When meeting a new dog or cat for the first time, I kneel or sit down. It is less intimidating to them if I am on their level. If they’re shy, they are more likely to come to me.
Favorite Dog Name: Sadie, the name I gave my precious, second fur-child.
Favorite Cat Name: Blue.
Favorite “Alternative” Pet: Rabbit.
Favorite “Downtime” Activity: I love gardening and working with flowers. I also enjoy working with fabric. (Small quilting projects)
Best Pet-Sitting Experience: Last summer I rushed a 12-year-old black lab to the emergency clinic after he’d suffered from heat stroke. He almost died. He survived the stroke and now when I pet sit for him, he wags his tail when he sees me and follows me around the yard. I think he remembers! Jake has a special place in my heart.
What accomplishment are you most proud of? In regards to pet sitting, starting my own business. This has been very rewarding to me and watching it grow each year has been exciting. At this time in my life, there’s nothing that I’d rather be doing.
What kind of car would you drive if money was not an object? Probably a Honda SUV – I need to carry “stuff!”
What is your “Dream Vacation?” I would love to tour Europe with my sister.
