Best Pet-sitting Experience: I have one unique home with two large salt water tanks, (including an octopus and seahorses), three cats, three boxers and a total of 30 birds (cockatiels and cockatoos.) I have my system down pat and worked efficiently to ensure that every critter was cared for properly - with lots of TLC! It was quite a sense of accomplishment!
What accomplishment are you most proud of? There are two: holding the position of shelter manager at a NH animal shelter and saving thousands of pets over the course of two years. I also did my part in rescuing 75 cats from one home and 130 dogs from another in two separate hoarding cases. I have been involved in United Animal Nations, EARS (Emergency Animal Rescue Service) and hurricane recovery, rescue and relief work, post Hurricane Charley, in Bartow, FL. I helped care for more than 350 dogs and 70 -100 cats in a makeshift emergency shelter.
What kind of car would you drive if money was not an object? Anything electric!
What is your “Dream Vacation?” Relaxing in an exotic location - with horses on the beach for me to ride at my leisure
What does your PSI Membership mean to you? It provides excellent credibility and adds professionalism to being a pet sitter. I am proud of what I do and take this role extremely seriously. I am happy to belong to a group organization. As a pet sitter, I work independently. With PSI, it is nice to know how other professionals work and handle situations.
