Favorite “Downtime” Activity: Spending quality time with my pets. Keeping up with the latest journals on nutrition and vaccine protocols for dogs and cats. I also enjoy watching my son compete in 10K races.
Best Pet-sitting Experience: Having my client’s pets just as happy to see me as I am them. That makes it all worthwhile!
What accomplishment are you most proud of? Educating my clients on the importance of good nutrition and new vaccine protocols. It’s very rewarding when I see a client change their pet’s food to a high-end product and see the difference. It is also rewarding to have them question their vets on vaccine issues.
What kind of car would you drive if money was not an object? I’m happy with the car I drive now. I wouldn’t change.
What is your “Dream Vacation?” Going on a horse holiday in Portugal. I would like to study classical dressage on a Lusitano horse.
What does your PSI Membership mean to you? It means being proud to be the best pet sitter I can be and also being associated with an organization that requires a strict code of conduct.
Finish this sentence: “If I hadn’t become a pet sitter, I never would have…the opportunity to do something that I love and make true, lasting friendships with clients. It’s not only about pet sitting. When I have a client who is distressed from having someone terminally ill or losing someone close to them, I get a chance to not only give my support, but also take the extra time to run errands or visit them during treatments. It gives them peace of mind to know that their pet is being loved and cared for by me.”
Favorite quote:
