Disaster Preparedness for Pet Sitters8 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Disaster Planning: Jenn Miler Accreditation Program Renewal: 1 CEU
Being poorly prepared for disasters can often make them worse. This course educates pet sitters in planning before a disaster occurs to mitigate problems and to protect your clients and their pets. This session covers how to plan for any disaster and will cover both natural (hurricanes, floods, earthquakes) and man-made (terrorist attacks, chemical spills, power outages) disasters. Topics include escape route planning, emergency communication, essential supplies for your emergency kit and much more. Disaster preparedness planning is a must for pet sitters to be ready to respond to a possible emergency.
