We walk the streets at all hours of the day and night, and drive through unfamiliar neighborhoods. All of these things and many others can be perilous. However, proper thought and training in "Situational Awareness" and planning can help mitigate these hazards.

Jerry England, a retired law enforcement officer and now a professional pet sitter, is the presenter. He brings his extensive law enforcement background and experience to the course, teaching specialized self defense techniques and actions. England understands the pet sitters’ day-to-day functions and presents this session from our perspective.

The session will takethe pet sitter from the initial phone call with a potential client, through the meet and greet, and on to the actual pet sit, emphasizing personal safety practices and strategies.Other topics will be covered such as: how to determine if you are being followed and what to do, what to do if a strange person is in your client’s home, how to deal with law enforcement in the event of a crime, how to handle suspicious circumstances or people and much more.
