What does a healthy bird look like? What are signs of illness? How can you tell if a bird is not eating? When do you seek veterinary care and what are your resources for quality avian medicine? What are the major diseases an avian caregiver needs to know, how do they manifest themselves and what is the risk to the caregiver and other birds being cared for? How do you set up strict bio-security practices to safeguard all the birds in your pet sitting practice?
Also, we will discuss how to set up an avian first aid kit and provide emergency treatment prior to transport. |
