Pheromones are chemical messages used by animals to communicate with members of their own species. They are not hormones or drugs, but natural, involuntarily secretions that are perceived with no learning or previous experience. This presentation covers the discovery, synthesization and therapeutic use of pheromones with dogs and cats to aid in behavior modification.
