Help For Pets In A Troubled Economy
Many professionals recommend pet owners putting aside money each month for emergency situations, but not all pet owners are able to do that. But there is help on the horizon! If you are faced with an unexpected veterinary bill and can’t afford to pay, here are a few things you can do:
• Ask your veterinarian to work out a payment plan with you. • Research local veterinary assistance programs. • Investigate breed-specific assistance groups through The American Kennel Club. • Ask your veterinarian to submit an assistance request to the American Animal Hospital Association’s “Helping Pets Fund.”
