About Us

Mom and Pop's Pet Sitting is owned and operated by Ronnie and Thadys Hall (see photos) and located off George O'Neal Road in southeast Baton Rouge. We are situated on approximately 16 acres, half of which is wooded. On your pets daily walks with us, his/her sniffer will experience scents that may be totally new and exciting to him/her like deer, rabbits, coons, etc.

We are registered with Pet Sitters International and are insured and bonded.

We guarantee responsible, dependable, loving care and affection for your precious small and medium sized dogs in our home. Your pet lives in our home and is treated as a member of our family while boarding with us. While your pet is with us we make daily picture posts on our blog of some of your pets activities that day.

Our History

We have loved and taken care of animals and pets all our life. In July, 2012 we will mark 44 years of marriage together. Before marriage and after, we have always had pets and cared for animals. We LOVE animals! For years we would pet sit for many of our family and neighbors, so after retirement we decided to open a professional pet-sitting business doing what we both love to do.

Over the years we have had horses, cows, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, fish, turtles, and birds. When she was young Thadys actually had a pet doe, Bambi, that she raised from a fawn. (see photos) Bambi's favorite passtime was to go for joy rides in the backseat of the car with her head stuck out the window just like doggies do. Needless to say they got lots of looks from passing cars. Today, we have three dogs, Rufus, Peppi and Bear. Of course we can't forget Midnight the cat. A herd of deer, and many coons, rabbits and squirels meander from the woods at dusk and daybreak to nibble on the corn and meal that we throw out for them at the edge of the woods.
