Besides owning pets all my life, I have always been the trusted one to watch over my friend's and family's pets. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psycholgy from Penn State University that has helped tremendously in a much deeper understanding of how Animal Learning Theory works. In a nutshell, I have been able to understand how our pets learn and to be a better handler by the way they communicate with the world. I am still facinated by it every day. I am certified in pet first aid. I have attended numerous conferences and lectures on animal behavior. I am always striving to bring the best to you and your pets.Along with my partner Donna, we have developed this business to better facilitate caring owners in their busy schedules. We provide not only pet care, but more importantly, peace of mind... We are insured with the Mourer Foster insurance agency Kennel Pro plan. We are licensed in the state of Washington and the city of Seattle. Our HistoryIn 2007 I established the official business of Love That Dog! andother pet services to accomodate the growing needs of friends and family that I have been involved with for years. As I began to become increasingly busy with pets and pet sitting I realized I need to do this full time. So the business was born. PhilosophyFirst and foremost the animals health and well being is most important. To accomplish this we use many scientifically proven techniques that are employed by various trainers and handlers (maybe even a "Whisperer"...) to bring about a tranquil and at ease pet. We treat the body, mind and spirit of the animal to bring about changes in their behaviors. The changes are always positive. While we are trainers, we are not training your animals. It is a deeper level of satisfying needs and drives that often go unfufilled. We create the opportunity for them to be who they are and in return we teach them what we want. Its a beautiful thing.Secondly, and not necessarily less important, is the environment. We have been avid stewards of the environment for years now. We use bio-degradeable bags when scooping up on walks. We utilize re-useable container for larger jobs such as in the dog park or cleaning up the yard. When possible we flush the waste and let it be treated by the professionals. No need to add to a landfill when not necessary. We use environmentally friendly cleaners and products, which have the added benefit of being better for the animals and humanimals. | |
