Take Your Dog To Work Day® Sponsorship & Licensing Opportunities

Celebrating is encouraged. Advertising requires permission.

We hope everyone participates in Pet Sitters International's Take Your Dog To Work Day® (or Take Your Cat To Work Day® or Take Your Pet To Work Week®) and helps to spread the word about it.

If you do, thanks! And please do it the right way: focus on the fun your employees have, celebrate the value of pets in the workplace, and encourage pet adoptions. Plan your company's TYDTWDay celebration following the guidelines provided in our free toolkit.

Please note: Take Your Dog To Work Day®, Take Your Cat To Work Day® and Take Your Pet To Work Week® are trademarks of Pet Sitters International, Inc. All rights reserved. Commercial use of the day or week (without permission) is prohibited.

For advertising, sponsorship and/or licensing information, please contact Meghann Evans at meghannevans@petsit.com.

  • DO: List the day on your company's event calendar and/or post about your participation on your company's website, blog or social-media pages.
  • DO: Ask employees to bring in photos of pets and have staff vote on their favorites.
  • DO: Properly cite the event name as "PSI's Take Your Dog To Work Day®" in the first mention in your media announcements.

Event DON'Ts:

  • DON'T: Organize a press tour promoting the event and highlighting your company, product or service.
  • DON'T: Send out a release or advertisement and/or post digital ads about a special "Take Your Dog To Work Day Sale" and/or a company promotion incorporating the Take Your Dog To Work Day event.

If you have any question as to whether your event activity may infringe upon the event trademark, please contact us.

Remember that media announcements, press releases, etc. promoting your company's participation in the event should properly cite the event name as "Pet Sitters International's Take Your Dog To Work Day®" (or "PSI's Take Your Cat To Work Day®" and "PSI's Take Your Pet To Work Week®") in the first mention.

Sponsorship & Licensing Opportunities

You need our permission before using Take Your Dog To Work Day®, Take Your Cat To Work Day® or Take Your Pet To Work Week® events to advertise or promote specific products or services offered by your company.

PSI encourages all employers and pet owners to observe and participate in the event, but commercial use of the event name or identity in advertising or promotion requires a license from PSI, for obvious reasons. Sponsorship and licensing opportunities are available for companies that are a good fit with the TYDTWDay mission.

If you’re interested in that, we’d love to hear from you, and we’ll be happy to fill you in on licensing and sponsorship opportunities.

For sponsorship or licensing information, please contact Meghann Evans at meghannevans@petsit.com.
