Ray's Pro Pet Care

"Ray has asked me to write him a letter of reference/recommendation, which I am only too happy to do, because he is such an exceptional person. I was introduced to Ray by a very close personal friend of mine, whose opinion I highly regard.
My husband and I were in search of a responsible, reliable and meticulous person to housesit for us and take car or our elderly, cherished black Labrador. Ray is a God-sent individual who is very detail oriented, loves animals, and great at all of the responsililties of running my home on Mercer Island. For over the last three years we have utllized Ray's services which includes: caring and loving our dog, looking after all of the details of making our home look occupied , i.e. put out trash, pick up newspapers and mail, turn on lights in the evening, receiving packages/deliveries and coordinating with hired contractors that were at our home during numerous extended overseas trips. When we return home, it was always spotless, linens washed and replaced, our household plants were well attened and my black Lab had been obviously well love and cared for. "I have been hiring Ray Madore since the spring of 2006 to walk my Italian Greyhound (Bentley) and overnight house/pet sit for me when I travel.I have been awayon frequent trips since that time and Rays stays overnight at my house fairly oftern. He has also done many midday walks for me. I am extremely impressed with how well organized and professional Ray is (beyong other pet sitters I have hired in the past). He has an excellent system for collecting house and pet care related information from clients that left mevery confident in his ability to look after things, including unexpected crises is they should occur. He is completely trustworthy and reliable. He is on time when he say he will be somewhere aand does not "short-shift" the midday walks he takes with Bentley on (where I found other dog walker often charge for a 30 minutes or and hour and later find out they were there for 15-20 mins max). On his overnight stay, I have complete cofidence in giving Ray my alarm code and house keys (and have left him with my car keys as well even in case he needed to move my car). I know that my home and dog will be well looke after in my abscence. I always come back to a tidy and very clean home and a very happy dog. Ray even runs the dishwasher, launders the sheets/towels he used, tidies up and dusts before he leaves. He doe not have guest over and I have never seen any sign that anything is damaged or missing. (My previous professional dog sitter had friends over until 2am in abscence as I later heard about from neighbors so having some reliable is not necessarily something one can assume.) Also because Bentley is a very social eater, he often waits to his meals for times when he has company. My last overnight dog sitter would come over to the house at 10:30pm - 11pm, meaning my dog was often alone for almost 12 hours and not eating until very late at night. Ray has been completely great about starting his overnight stays earlier in the evening which is a hugh relief to me and means Bentley has a more normal schedule. My neighbors have met Ray and all have very positive thins to say about him and Bentley adores Ray (for a timid breed this is really a good thing!). I would recommend Ray without reservation as a dog walker, overnight dog sitter or house sitter. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me. "

"I've never personally met Ray. I've never even had the opportunity to use his services, because I was in need of a foster home, and though he wanted to help, he isn't insured for that kind of care... HOWEVER. I spent less than 5 minutes with him on the phone describing my situation and with no gain to be made he went out of his way to make phone calls and he hooked me up with someone he believed may be able to help. whether or not it pans out, I'm deeply grateful that there are people like this out there.
