About My Business

My name is Emmy Hallman and I have been pet sitting for over forty years. I began working in veterinary hospitals as a receptionist at Tribeca-Soho Animal Hospital in Manhattan in 1981. I was asked by several clients if I would care for their pet(s) while they were on vacation and so began this gratifying life-long journey. I continued to work in veterinary hospitals for a total of ten years, steadily working my way to hospital manager. During this time, I learned to administer sub-q fluids, insulin, oral and aural medications. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and love to take them individually for long walks along the beach, weather permitting. In addition, I have extensive experience caring for birds including cockatoos, cockatiels, lovebirds, parakeets, and finches. I am available for thirty minute or sixty minute visits and will gladly bring in the mail and water plants. Thank you for your interest in my pet sitting service.
