About My Business

Becoming a Pet Sitter in 2000, just all fell into place naturally; like Serendipity! I did not even realize there was such a "job" as a Professional Pet Sitter.

My company was moving out of state and I did not want to move. I knew I wanted to do something new and with animals. I was a Technical Coordinated for a laminated glass company and ironically, I helped design glad for animal enclosures. I have always loved and had lots of animals my entire life: dogs,cats,rabbits,mice,hamsters,gerbils, guinepig,frogs,turtles,ducks, various birds and even a baby alligator once. I even ran away with my dog Dutches, at the age of five, we played in the field for half a day. Ha ha.

After waking up one morning with the thought of walking dogs, I started to look through the phone book for ideas; there it was: Pet Sitters! I called for advise from one of the Sitters listed and she explained how to get started with the help of Patti Moran's book on pet sitting. I even had my first job long before the company was ready to move. I LOVE my "job" and am so thankful I get to care for animals and help people enjoy life without worry while they are away.
