About My Business

I am bonded, insured, and on Angie's list, Yelp!, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Alignable. I am detailed-oriented and deeply sensitive to the needs of our companion animals and their people. I fill water bowls, give treats, lock doors, leave a light on, pick up poop, and send pictures and videos of the pets. My personal commitment is to bring passion to caring for animals. My commitment goes deep. Animal rescue is my special interest, and I am a vegan. I ask that pet owners be present for an hour to watch how their dog interacts with me. I also take photos of pets with their human owners.

I lend support, guidance, and suggestions. I am a frequent communicator - and flexible and open to change. I believe that not all situations and settings are for all pets. I view the pet's own home as a very valuable resource. Sometimes it is fun for dogs to spend time at my home, be pampered, run around, get dirty and tired, and go home after snack time. More important, 'grandma' will listen and give tummy and back rubs. I take care of dogs, cats, gerbils, turtles, fish, mice, hamsters, rats, ferrets, iguanas, hedgehogs, rabbits, birds, and potbellied pigs.

My services include, but are not limited to, puppy potty breaks and feedings, and playgroups (in a private enclosed yard). Dogs are screened for current vaccines. I offer play dates, boarding, vacation sitting, pet taxi, going for a ride, cat sitting, cat or dog walking on a leash, indoor and outdoor plant care, giving medications, and giving fluids and insulin shots.

The towns I service are Dedham, Westwood, Roslindale, West Roxbury, Brookline, Needham, Milton, Norwood, Hyde Park, and Jamaica Plain. Short notice requests are okay.

I am personable. I have special interests in ex-hunting dogs, ex-greyhound racers, mellow mutts, and any old timers (senior animals). I offer discounts for rescues.

Services may be donated for a limited time for those with a life-threatening illness.
