About My Business

I’m a long time Humboldt community member (26 years), avid cyclist, and lifetime animal lover. I currently have one shelter rescue cat, Batty, who I fell in love with at the Humboldt Animal Rescue Team (HART) shelter where I volunteer every week. After a few months of getting to know each other, she came to her forever home. A few months previous, I had lost my beloved cat Lou (a Sequoia Humane Society shelter rescue) after 15 wonderful years.

I have taken in many stray or abandoned dogs and cats over the course of my lifetime; always getting them their shots and a vet exam, followed up with spay/neutering, and regular vet care. I treat animals with love and kindness while being firm and consistent about behavioral expectations. I can also care for birds, furry critters, some reptiles, and fish. I have always had a special affinity with cats; I’m usually the guy at the party who is in the other room playing with the cat.

I work out of my home with a flexible schedule that allows me to give priority to pet care clients. When I am with your pet, I give my 100% attention to caring for them.

I can do drop-in visits or stay at your home with your pets, not only feeding, providing fresh water, and cleaning up poop and/or litter box, but taking dogs for a walk, playtime, and taking the time to assure all pets that everything is ok, and that their people will be back soon. I can also board dogs and provide doggy day care (see size limits). I have a large, and completely fenced in dog run connected to my back porch for your dog to securely go in and out when we’re not on a walk. Your dog(s) must be cat friendly. I’m sorry that I cannot board cats; my cat won’t stand for it.

I will spend time getting to know your pets, earning their trust, and offering my friendship. I’m also available for 30 minute dog walks. I’m always happy to text you updates and photos while caring for your pets.
