About My Business

I joined Pet Sitter International in 2009 and became a professional pet sitter. I am also insured and bonded. I work part time as a veterinary assistant at a very busy small animal practice in Gettysburg PA.

Once my husband and I retired from dairy farming I realized I had the opportunity to fulfill my plans to become a pet sitter. Many families find their pets (fur family members) are most content to stay home rather in a kennel while they are away on vacation. The area I service is in the country therefore many of my clients have livestock. As a pet sitter I provide an opportunity for the livestock owners to take a vacation and feel confident that their animals will be well cared for. With my history of dairy farming I am comfortable working with farm animals. Since I am an experienced veterinary assistant, I also administer medications as required, and have an understanding of the medical needs.
