"Our dog Bonnie loves Pack Leader Nell!

Bonnie knows that when she hears the 'Black Bear "Bus"' arriving to pick her up, she is going to have a super fun day. Whether it is walking, swimming, playing with her pals, napping, or shopping at Tractor Supply with her allowance, we know she's always happy and well cared for. Some days she even gets a bath, too!

We initially came to know Nell through my husband's veterinary practice. We were impressed with Nell's knowledge, observations, attention to detail and consistently high level of care that she gave to her equine companions. So, we had no qualms about asking Nell to take Bonnie for walks on my working days, as we knew she'd be in good hands.

Then, when I was diagnosed with cancer, Nell stepped in and took care of Bonnie when I was unable to give her the care, exercise and socialization she needed. And, Nell sent a steady supply of pictures and videos of Bonnie's various activities throughout the day. Bonnie loves her "Auntie Nell"

Our Siberian Husky was recovering from an emergency splenectomy and our planned vacation was fast approaching. He was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma, an aggressive form of cancer. We didn’t know how we could leave him under someone else’s care. Several weeks later our dog was doing well so we met with Nell from Black Bear Pet Care.

Nell came to us highly recommended, with over 25 years of experience as a vet tech and as a fellow dog and horse owner. She gave us confidence that our husky would be fine, as well as our horses and other dog also. From the moment we left, Nell stayed in touch with us, sending daily updates and photos – often several times a day. Some medicine arrived while we were away. Nell gladly agreed to start our husky on the medicine right away to boost his immunity and promote healing. She was familiar with the medicine and its disease-fighting properties. She even picked up pill pockets treats to make medication time easier.

To top it off, we arrived home to a clean house, happy dogs and horses, and beautifully clean stalls!

I cannot express enough how much it meant to us knowing our pets were so well taken care of, especially our husky.
