About My Business

Karen Clark is the Owner/Operator of Pawtector Pet Care, LLC. Karen resides in Hardy, VA with her husband, Chuck, and their two rescue dogs: Rangler & Violet. Karen grew up taking care of pets (dogs, cats & a pony). After 33 years in banking , Karen decided to pursue her dream. She retired and started her own pet sitting business. The safety and professional care of pets is the top priority for Pawtector. In an effort to enhance her many years of practical pet care experience, Karen became trained in Pet First Aid & CPR. She is an instructor for PetTech. Pet First Aid & CPR classes as well as a comprehensive Pet Care and Pet First Aid Class, PetSaver are offered to groups of pet parents, professional pet care providers (pet sitters, groomers, trainers, etc.) and rescue groups.

Pawtector provides dependable, affordable pet sitting services for clients at their homes in the Smith Mountain Lake area and surrounding communities. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, Pawtector has experience with outside animals including horses, goats, chickens and alpacas.
