Pets are not a one PAW fits all so we customize your pet's care plan based on their individual needs. We offer mid-day pet sitting and dog walking visits for pet parents who work long days, multiple visits per day for traveling pet parents, and extended time care for pets who need more companionship or supervision throughout the day. From our heads to our paws, we LOVE animals. And we want you to have peace of mind that yours are being cared for in the best possible way.
While working an amazing career at GE Aviation for almost 40 years, I traveled all over the world. By day 2 of my trips … I missed my pets and I worried about them. Especially since I struggled to find quality care for them while I was away.
Yes, there are quality kennels and boarding facilities in the area, however those are not a good fit for many pets. Cats and dogs often stress when they are exposed to unfamiliar places, strange people, and other animals they don’t know. Take those stressors and add in the stressors of your absence, being away from their familiar smells and home comforts like a favorite blankie, away from their normal eating areas and potty locations. And they are quite often limited to the amount of human interaction they want and need. Dogs can become over-stimulated by being exposed to several other dogs also staying at the same facility. Stacking all these stressors quite often have negative affects on your pet. They may stop eating, get diarrhea, lose hair/fur, oversleep/become lethargic, exhibit behavioral issues, become withdrawn. These are all signs of stress.
Alternately, you could choose in-home-care from a non-professional like the occasional teenager, a neighbor, or nearby relative. If so, make sure these individuals are trained in pet safety and care so they can react in the event something goes wrong with your pet. One time, my 135 lb mastiff fell in the pool and she couldn’t swim! Not everyone would know how to respond to an emergency like this! It worked out but WOW! Also be prepared for other issues … broken appliances, house in disarray, uninvited guests, last minute cancellations, no-shows.
The best of both worlds is why I started Holy Paws … allowing your pets to stay in the comforts of their home and with a professional. You can have the in-your-home quality pet care I always searched for. My team is insured, bonded, have passed background checks, are trained, and maintain certifications in Cat/Dog CPR and First Aid.
