About My Business

I have been around animals since the day I was born. Animals always have and always will be my passion and joy. I have been fostering cats, kittens, puppies and dogs for over thirteen years. I worked as a foster coordinator and as an adoption counselor for the NOAH Center for several years. I also worked as the adoption and volunteer manager for Purrfect Pals. I most recently worked as a vet assistant for a local clinic. I am highly skilled and experienced with all age groups, medical conditions, energy levels and personality types. I do specialize in special needs pets and ask that when you are booking you do so under the puppy rate if you feel they will need lots of extra care, clean up and trips outside. I am willing, able, and trained in administering medications, including subcutaneous fluids and other injectable medications.

I have several cats and dogs of my own including special needs fur kids. In addition, I have pet goldfish as well as outdoor pot bellied pigs and chickens. I have had birds in the past, too! So I am experienced in caring for a broad range of pets and love them all!

Before accepting your request to book, I will not only ask questions about you and your pets expectations, but once we have established that I am a good fit for your needs, I will go ahead and set up a meet and greet, free of charge, so that we can get to know one another better and ensure you are comfortable with me caring for your fur, feathered, or finned baby!

When booking with Pawsperous Pet Care you can go away and be relaxed knowing that I will be providing your pet with the same level of care you normally provide (with a little extra doting perhaps). Any enrichment, diet, exercise, and medical plans that are set in place will be followed to the letter. I will send daily updates with photos updating you on how your pet is doing so that you can rest assured they are safe and happy. Your pet will be able to sleep with me if they prefer (which I hope they do!). My goal is to ensure your pet is calm, happy, and safe while you're away so you can enjoy your time away!

Dogs on walks will always be kept on leash and you can rest easy knowing that I will never allow any dogs to approach yours, either on or off leash since I cannot guarantee how either will respond. We will go as fast or as slow and as short or as long as your dog prefers. As much as your dog may enjoy the dog park, that is not a place I feel safe bringing your four legged best friend since dogs that are unknown to me may be unpredictable and not everyone is honest about their dogs temperament and health. If your pup is one who prefers the comfort of their yard, I will be outside on every trip to ensure they are safe and not getting into anything that they shouldn't.

Cats will be checked on consistently to ensure they are safe and happy as clams. They will be offered as little or as much attention as they want. I will be more than happy to offer cat nip and treats as well as play with a laser, wand toy or whatever their favorite activity is.

I will bring in your mail, water your plants/ garden, clean the bedding and linens before departing, wipe down any surfaces that got soiled during my stay, run the dishwasher and put away any dishes from myself or you prior to leaving, vacuum, and clean the floors if needed.

That's why my rates are a little higher than you may expect; I go the extra mile to ensure that not only is your pet happy when you come home, but so are you!
