About My Business

A unique pet sitter for unique pets! Specialized vacation care for exotic pets and cats in your Oakland, California home by a Registered Veterinary Technician. I have nearly 30 years experience in the veterinary field and am credentialed in the states of California and Oregon. Exotic pets are my specialty! I have extensive training in exotic, zoo and wildlife medicine and have completed the Pet Sitters International Bird Care Specialist training so that you can rest easy knowing that your feathered, scaly and furred friends are in good hands. I relish the challenge of working with exotic animals, and I include the Oakland Zoo and wildlife projects in Botswana and Malawi among my previous employers. I love to donate my time whenever possible, and I have spent a significant amount of time volunteering with wildlife rehabilitation organizations both locally and abroad. I regularly attend Continuing Education conferences and presentations in order to keep up-date on the latest standards of care in exotic medicine and husbandry. I feel fortunate to be using my extensive training, diverse skills and significant experience to improve the quality of exotic pet care. My own 'zoo' includes a rescued chihuahua mix, a Roborovski's hamster, two hens, a jumping spider, and two colonies of honeybees.
