About My Business

After networking with various “animal” people (vets, vet techs, pet store owners, trainers, behaviorists, and other professional pet sitters in town), I decided to open the doors to my pet care business, Jackie O’s Professional Pet Care, on January 1, 2016. I am bonded, insured, perform an annual background check, and am Pet First Aid and CPR certified. Prior to performing any work, my clients are required to sign Contracts, Releases and Agreements. My business has grown very quickly because other professional pet sitters in town refer prospective clients in my service area to me, and I do likewise for them, and many of my clients refer me to their friends and neighbors. I administer subcutaneous fluids, give insulin injections, allergy shots, and pill cats. I transport animals to their vet, trainer, groomer or day care. I also walk dogs and care for all types of animals when their owners are out of town or at work. I help clients find the proper equipment to use to safely and effectively walk their dogs and I also work with "special needs" pets. I have been a professional pet sitter since 2013, worked with animal rescue groups for over 10 years, and was employed on a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for 2 years. I have lived in Santa Clarita since 1995 and currently reside with 5 rescue pets - 1 cat and 4 dogs - many with special needs.
