About My Business

Let me introduce myself. I have been an animal lover my entire life. Throughout my childhood my family had both dogs and cats. As an adult, I had Mosche, my Shepherd mix, Sawsha, my Lab, Jake, my Golden Retriever/Lab mix and Mya, my Shepherd/Husky mix. All my dogs and cats have been rescues because I believe every animal deserves to feel love and be part of a family.

While I’ve truly loved every pet, the dog that changed my life was Sawsha. My husband and I were at a Sacramento Kings game one night and the SPCA was hosting a rescue event. We saw this beautiful, wiggly yellow Lab walking around with a red cape on that said, “Please adopt me!” We instantly fell in love with her and she came home with us that night! My Sawsha was literally the light of my life. My heart dog. ♥

As you can see, I named my business after my sweet Sawsha. It is through her legacy, and my promise to you, that I will provide your pet(s) with the same unconditional love and high quality care.

My personal experiences with my own pets have developed into expertise. I’ve had shy pets, senior pets, special needs pets, pets with illnesses and pets recovering from surgery. I am comfortable in any situation whether it’s administering medication, physical therapy, training, walking, playing or just stretching out on the floor giving love and snuggles.

I currently have two rescue dogs, four rescue cats and one husband! Joe is my 12 year old Great Dane/Lab mix and Chewy is my 10 year old Lab who is vision impaired. My cats are Bodhi, my 11 year old Bengal, Zeus, my 10 year old Long Hair mix, Red, my 8 year old Orange Tabby and Kitty, my 6 year old Tabby.

In addition to my four legged family, I am also an experienced equestrian. Although I don’t currently own a horse, I ride and care for horses on a regular basis.

I volunteer weekly at a local animal shelter to give love and comfort to those most in need. I have provided care for dogs, cats, birds and rabbits. I truly love this work.

I’ve wanted to start my pet sitting business for several years but the timing wasn’t right. Now, I am so excited to finally realize my dream. I will bring the highest level of integrity, responsibility and commitment to both you and your pet(s). I want you to feel confident that your home and your pets are in good hands when you walk out the door.

I am bonded, insured and carry a background clearance. I am also a member of Pet Sitter’s International. Copies of all documents will be provided for review upon request.
