About My Business

Kennel Me Not was started in the early 2000's by Laura Trujillo and Cathie Gibson. I, Lisa Tonks, had the pleasure of joining their crew in early 2006, after retiring from the construction accounting field. I have always had multiple animals of all types, my mother and grandmother were involved with animal rescue and the pets were calling!! Pet care seemed to be the purrfect way to enter phase two of my life.

In early 2010, I had the opportunity to purchase Kennel Me Not. As the business grew we continued to add sitters, Mary, Virginia, Vyckkie, Bonny and Teri. Virginia, Vyckkie and Bonny began as clients!! We've had Al, Sharon, Catherine too, but unfortunately they either retired or moved away. I've been blessed with a great team!

PLEASE NOTE!!! We have extremely limited staff at this time (January 2023) and may not be taking in new clients or be able to service existing clients. The retirement bell rang for almost the entire crew.

We take care of the smallest kitten to horses, goats and cows. We each have a "back up" sitter (team care) in case of illness, car problems or sitter "time away", so your pets always know their favorite caretaker(s). (This only when we are fully staffed).
