UNCLE'S DOG WALKING SERVICE

Your dog provides you with companionship, unconditional love, purpose, security, fun and recreation, and acts as a positive health enhancement. You want to treat your dog equally well. Unfortunately, there are times when you can’t be with your dog due to business, vacation, or other personal obligations.

Uncle’s Dog Walking Service is a private, owner-operated company providing daily dog walking and daily and overnight sitting services for dogs whose owners live in Thorndale, Downingtown, Coatesville, Exton, West Chester, Malvern, and surrounding areas of central Chester County. We are dedicated to accommodating our clients’ needs and schedules while providing quality care and attention to our clients’ canine companions. We also pet sit cats and other pets.

Uncle’s Dog Walking Service is a member of Pet Sitters International, is fully bonded and insured, and is American Red Cross-certified in Pet First Aid.

WHO’S UNCLE?

After nearly 25 years as a development director and fundraiser for several area environmental non profit organizations, I embarked in 2009 on a new career path – inspired by my uncle, Harold Sanderson (that's his photo with one of his dogs, Ruby.)

“Uncle” bred, raised, and trained champion show dogs – Weimaraner, German Wire-haired Pointer, Smooth Fox Terrier, and Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen breeds – his entire adult life until his death at age 83 in 2008. As his nephew, godson, and friend, I enjoyed over the years a close relationship with Uncle and his many dogs.

A significant part of Uncle’s routine was the daily walking of his dogs (he would usually house 10-15 dogs in his kennel at one time). I believe his healthy vitality and longevity was the result of his dog walking activity and his close interaction with his dogs.

Through my uncle’s example and my personal experiences with companion dogs over the years, I feel I have a strong understanding of and empathy for our canine friends (as well as other pets – I am a long-time cat lover). Uncle’s Dog Walking Service is my way of honoring my uncle and continuing his legacy while simultaneously providing a quality service for central Chester County dogs and other pets and their owners.
