Pet Sitters International opens registration for 2020 conferences

PSI will hold an in-person conference in St. Louis in October and an online conference in March.

KING, N.C. (January 16, 2020) — Pet Sitters International (PSI), the world’s largest educational association for professional pet sitters, has opened registration for its 2020 conferences. For the second year in a row, PSI will offer an online conference in March as an additional education and networking opportunity, in addition to its annual in-person conference in the fall.

Registration links, schedules and additional details for both conferences are available on the PSI website at www.petsit.com/conference. Early Bird Registration ends Jan. 31 for the online conference and Feb. 28 for the in-person conference.

PSI’s 2020 Pet Sitter World ONLINE will take place Wednesday, March 4, with all sessions hosted live online. The conference is open to both PSI members and non-members, and scheduled speakers include renowned veterinarian and animal behaviorist Dr. Ian Dunbar, certified cat behavior consultant Tabitha Kucera, and Canadian-based pet-sitting business owner Dayna Desmarais. PSI will announce additional speakers this month.

PSI's 2020 in-person event—Pet Sitter World Educational Conference—will take place October 2-4 in St. Louis, Missouri, at Drury Plaza Hotel St. Louis at the Arch. Held in a different city each year, Pet Sitter World is the largest in-person conference for professional pet sitters.

With the theme “Reaching New Heights,” the in-person conference in October will feature a mix of sessions and events designed to provide attendees with the skills and confidence they need to connect with other pet professionals, stand out in their communities, deal with specific pet issues they may face, and ultimately, take their businesses to the next level. It will also feature a charity bingo event to benefit a pet-related nonprofit organization.

Scheduled speakers for the October conference include branding and marketing expert Kristen Lee, certified feline behavior and training consultant Dr. Marci Koski, and professional dog trainer and pet-industry author Teoti Anderson, among others.

“The pet-sitting industry is growing rapidly and it’s more important than ever before for professional pet sitters and dog walkers to focus on continuing education,” explained Beth Stultz-Hairston, PSI president and conference organizer. “PSI is offering both the in-person and online conference to enable more pet-care professionals to have access to training to elevate their skills, knowledge and business practices.”

Additional details about the conference schedules, speakers and sponsorship opportunities are available online at www.petsit.com/conference.
