PSI Conference Registration Terms & Conditions

By registering for PSI's Pet Sitter World Educational Conference, you attest that you understand and agree to the following:

Cancellation Policy

Your conference registration is non-refundable. However, substitutions will be allowed, in accordance with the substitution process outlined below. Please note that registrants are responsible for finding their own substitute but may contact PSI to see if there is a wait list.

All substitution requests must be submitted by September 5, 2026. Substitution requests will not be accommodated after that date.

To request a substitution, please follow these steps:

  • Once you have identified the individual that will purchase your registration*, please notify PSI via email (info@petsit.com) to provide your substitute’s name, business name and email address.
  • Once received, PSI will email an invoice to the substitute for the registration fee.
  • Once the invoice is paid, PSI will issue a refund to you.

*
If you purchased your ticket at the member rate pricing, your substitution must be PSI member or will be invoiced for the non-member rate.

Please note:
PSI strongly encourages registrants to consider travel/trip cancellation insurance.

General Attendee Guidelines

  • Conference registrants must be at least 18 years old.*
  • All attendees must comply with PSI’s Anti-Harassment Policy. Attendees in violation of this policy will be asked to leave, without refund.
  • Attendees may not bring family members, friends or any other non-registered person to the conference sessions, exhibitor area or meals.**
  • Attendees may not livestream or record sessions for personal use or distribution. Please note that shorter recordings (5 minutes or less) are permitted, and attendees are encouraged to share about their participation on social media.
  • Attendees may not share marketing materials, solicit business, or promote their products and services to fellow attendees in any way during the event, unless they are a conference sponsor or exhibitor.

* Minors (ages 15-17) may be allowed to register if attending with their parent or legal guardian. Please contact PSI for more details.

** Nursing mothers please contact PSI prior to the event to discuss accommodations should your infant need to remain with you.

Pet Policy

Service animals are always permitted, as required by law.

If the host hotel is dog friendly, your dog may accompany you to conference sessions and events. All dogs must be well-behaved and under the control of the attendee at all times. The PSI team will ask the attendee to remove the pet from the conference space if the pet shows signs of aggressiveness toward people or other pets—or exhibits any behaviors, as deemed by the PSI team, that may indicate the pet is in distress. If the attendee chooses not to return to the event without their pet, no refund will be issued.

Please see the 2026 host hotel’s pet policy information.

PSI In-Person Events Participant Waiver

By submitting your registration for and/or agreeing to participate in an in-person event hosted by Pet Sitters International (“PSI”) you attest that you have read, understand, and agree to the following:

Assumption of Risk and Release of Claims

I acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. Attendance at and participation in this in-person event carries with it an inherent risk of exposure to and illness from infectious, communicable diseases, including but not limited to COVID-19.
  2. While PSI will conduct the event in accordance with legal requirements imposed by public health authorities, such requirements do not and cannot eliminate all risk of infection.
  3. There are personal protective measures available to me that may mitigate my risks should I choose to employ them, including but not limited to masking, social distancing, and vaccination. Even if I take such measures, however, a risk of serious illness or death remains.
  4. Participant assumes all risks and accepts sole responsibility for any injury (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that attendee may experience or incur in connection with attending the event. Attendee hereby releases, covenants not to sue, discharges, and holds harmless the owner of the event venue, their staff and contractors, and PSI and/or their respective employees, agents, and volunteers (together, the “Released Parties”), of and from any such claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.

BY REGISTERING, I FULLY RELEASE ALL THE RELEASED PARTIES FROM ANY LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF MY ATTENDANCE AT AND PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

PSI Event Media Release

By registering, I grant to PSI and its authorized representatives permission to create still photographs and/or video and audio recordings at the event that may include my image and/or voice (together, “Works”).  I agree that PSI may, without any additional consideration to me, use, edit, modify, publish, and copyright such Works in any form and for any purpose, including as part of future publications, brochures, printed or digital materials, and/or on the PSI website or social-media platforms. I agree that I will have no right of approval of any Works, and hereby release any and all claims against PSI or any successor party arising out of the creation, editing, modification, sale, incorporation in other works, and other use of the Works, including without limitation claims based on rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, copyright, moral rights, or any other rights.
