Almost You In Home Animal Care: Introduction to “meet our team.’

We care for domestic animals: equines, livestock, dogs, cats and small animals in your home. We know we can’t be you, but we can be Almost You for your pets.

With our team working for you, we make taking care of your animals less work for you, give you that special assist when you are busy, or perhaps recovering from injury or surgery. We give you peace of mind while you are away, because you can trust us to take care of your loved ones with skill and love.

We give you more time to spend loving and having adventures with your best friends.

Whether your pet needs walking, cleaning or cuddling you can schedule our services as frequently as you need.

Our goal is to give you and your animals the best experience possible.

We have years of experience caring for animals. We have worked as professionals in the field as ranch managers, equine specialists, care takers for goats, pigs, chickens and fowl (and others). We have team members who have worked as veterinary technicians, animal health care specialists, equine therapy specialists, equine trainers, and canine trainers. We have experience in the human medical field as well and we bring that skill and knowledge with us to keep all of us clean and healthy.

We each have our own animal family. We bring all of our knowledge, care and love to work for you as Almost You In Home Animal Care. We believe that animals are happiest and healthiest staying in their home while you are away. We can help you keep your family happy, safe, and healthy. We look forward to meeting you and your animal family.

Luciane has been with animals all of her life. The idea for Almost You In Home Animal Care came about when she and Stacey Derington, while working together, decided they wanted to take their love of caring for animals to another level. They decided to combine their various skills and their dedication to the well-fare of domestic animals and take that daring leap! They planned and dreamed and laid down their ideas for a business, Almost You In Home Animal Care.

Luciane brings a lot of experience with her: she has been a licensed veterinary technician, conducted university level research in human-animal connection, studied animal behavior, holds a master level horsemanship certification from Louisiana State University, has been equine director and health care specialist for two equine rescues, and has certification in K-9 training, obedience training, and canine citizenship. Luciane also has experience in rehabilitation of equine behavior and has nursed many horses to health from dire conditions. She is happiest being outside in all weather, working hard, and using all of her skill to build better relationships between people and animals.

We strive to serve your safety, comfort, and care needs while you are away or just need some extra help. Our care of your animals is the highest priority to us. We are exceptionally well qualified in this position and consistently provide excellent care.
