About My Business

Hi, I’m Becca!

From a very young age, animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up in Rhinebeck near a farm with cows and goats. I would take Cupcake, my best friend, a Golden Retriever, for walks on the trails near my house and sometimes just lay down with her while I told her all my problems. She was a great listener!

My education is in psychology, liberal arts and legal studies. After some time away and trying different careers, from office jobs to waitressing, I moved back to Rhinebeck and decided to devote myself full-time to my passion of being with animals. I have three cats of my own who I treat like they are my children, sometimes better than I treat myself!

My philosophy is that animals are family. They are our best friends!

Finding someone to care for your pet is a big decision. There are concerns of the safety of your pet as well as your house and property. Owners also worry about trusting someone to care for their pet and treat them with kindness and love and patience!

If you decide to meet me and/or hire me, I promise your furry family will be safe and will enjoy my company and vice versa! I know i will treat them like my own!

Every job is different so please contact me further to get my rates. Rates are based on location and job specifications including but not limited to age of pet, medications required, and training. I am not a trainer although I am well on my way to become certified through Animal Behavior College.

I am also a full believer in DO NO HARM TRAINING and FEAR FREE based pet care and training so I will not use any aversive methods when dog walking/care such as prong collars and e collars.

What my clients say:

"There is only one way to explain Becca’s Happy Paws - excellent!!! She’s the most responsible, sensible, efficient, and compassionate pet sitter I’ve ever worked with! Becca truly loves animals and they love her! While she was caring for my cat she sent me daily text reports and photos too. My 16 year old cat did very well under he care and I will continue to use her services!!!"

"After our long-time Pet Sitter retired her business, we found ourselves totally lost and were thinking we could never travel again. Our two cats are our kids and we couldn't leave them to just anyone. We found Becca's website and were very impressed with the testimonials and Becca's write-up. I contacted Becca via the website and she responded immediately. Within two days she came for an interview, met our babies, took time to play with them and had us fill out a bunch of forms on their vet, medications, emergency contacts, favorite toys, hiding places, special foods, etc. She left no stone un-turned and we were super impressed. As a person, we fell in love with her right away. She is warm, caring, genuine (and funny!) and truly cares about the pets she takes care of. We just came back from our first trip with Mama Becca watching our babies, and she did a FABULOUS job. She sent us pictures and videos so we could see our babies getting pampered. And our one baby, Shayla, who is generally petrified of strangers, came out on the third day for her. And Becca got it on video. I was so happy I almost cried. I am so thankful that we found her. We already consider her a part of our family and I know, without a doubt, that we can now travel without a care in the world because our babies will be getting the best possible care ever. Becca, thank you for EVERYTHING! And Shayla and Venice thank you, too!"

"Thank you Becca for taking such good care of Snickers and Hudson, and sending lots of pictures while I was away. They both were in great shape when I returned, and I think they even missed you. Until the next time."
