Founded in 1994 by industry pioneer Patti J. Moran, Pet Sitters International (PSI) is the world’s leading educational association for professional pet sitters and dog walkers.
For more than 30 years, PSI has been dedicated to:

In 2026, after more than three decades of building Pet Sitters International, Founder Patti J. Moran transitioned ownership of PSI to Adam and Rachel Foster. PSI continues operating under its name, with its full team, and with its founding mission unchanged.
Today, PSI serves nearly 4,000 members across the U.S., Canada, and 15+ other countries—and has helped more than 40,000 pet lovers start and grow successful professional pet-sitting businesses.
