• Study at Home.  Study at your own pace in the comfort of your own home.  All course materials are contained in one convenient manual, and you'll have six full months to prepare for the exam.  Because the course is in print rather than online, you'll have a handy reference book to use throughout your career.
• Tailored Curriculum.  From Pet Care, Health and Nutrition to Business & Office Procedures and Additional Services, this curriculum has been developed by pet sitters and pet-care professionals for pet sitters.
• Grass Roots, from the Ground Up.  The coursework materials were meticulously developed by PSI so that every aspect of the business of pet sitting is covered.
• Current Content.  All information is evaluated regularly to make updates and additions to strengthen the coursework content.

Pet sitters who successfully complete this comprehensive coursework earn the right to use the designation Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS).  

PSI Certification – Pet Owner Assurance

PSI is the most recognized and respected trade association in the industry today.  Though less rigorous certification programs exist, pet owners can trust that pet sitters who complete the 37 categories of PSI's Certification Program and pass the CPPS exam are the best equipped in the world to care for their pets. 

In keeping with PSI’s goal of a better educated industry, recertification is required every three years, ensuring that PSI Certified Professional Pet Sitters continue to expand their skill sets and experience.
