About My Business

Hi, I’m Mark Shaver, owner of Buckhead Paws Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Services of Atlanta. My team of more than 30 employees provides expert care for your beloved dogs, cats, and other pets with service in Buckhead, Brookhaven, Decatur, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Smyrna, Vinings, as well as Midtown Atlanta and all the Intown neighborhoods.

Buckhead Paws is bonded and insured, and all team members have had criminal background checks. This provides you with security and peace of mind for your home and pets. In addition, the Buckhead Paws folks are employees (NOT unsupervised independent contractors), and are covered by Workers' Compensation.

Our full range of pet care services include:

• Daily Dog Walks are for those days when your pup needs some exercise and bathroom relief, but you just aren't able to get home. We'll feed, if you like, and we always freshen water. This is our most popular service.

• Vacation Pet Sitting is just the ticket if you’re traveling away from the Atlanta area on business or vacation. We generally visit your dog three times a day (for walks, playtime or smooches) or your kitty once a day. We'll feed and give meds according to your instructions, and freshen water. We'll bring in mail and newspapers, take trash cans to and from the curb, water indoor plants, etc.

• In-Home, Overnight Pet Sitting is the ultimate in pet sitting, where your Buckhead Paws pet sitter will stay with your pet. We'll arrive by 8:00 pm, and stay until 7:00 am. We'll do evening and morning dog walks, feed according to your instructions, and provide lots of high-quality cuddle time.

• Pet Taxi Service takes the burden off you if you need your pet to be somewhere. Whether it's the vet, the groomers, the airport, or somewhere else, we'll deliver and/or pick-up your dog or cat, and we’ll be on time!

Buckhead Paws was founded in 2007, and I've owned the company since 2012. My long career as an executive with three multi-national corporations gave me the expertise to hire, train, and manage a team of professionals who care deeply about their clients – human and animal. I’m thrilled that Buckhead Paws has grown into one of the largest, most trusted dog walking and pet sitting services in the Atlanta area.
