About My Business

Hi, I’m Laura Harwin, Owner of Pied Piper Pet Sitters, LLC in Pittsburgh, PA. People call me the Pied Piper of dogs because, as you guessed it, I’m always surrounded by my furry friends. My husband Wes and I are the parents of four rescue dogs – Chelsea, Roxie, Einstein and Molly – ranging from 12 to 75 pounds. (I bet you know which dog is in charge.) Having four dogs of varying sizes and personalities leads to a life full of adventure. We walk daily in our area parks; attend training and obedience classes; participate in dog sports such as agility and flyball; attend events sponsored by local animal rescue groups; and keep up with the latest dog-related news, resources and information.

When I was ready to start my own business, there was only one obvious path…working with dogs. Launched in November 2015, Pied Piper Pet Sitters, LLC offers dog walking, pet sitting in your home, puppy potty breaks, overnight visits, pet transportation, and more.

Because we’re a small business, we personally get to know your dogs and treat them like our own. For your added reassurance, Pied Piper Pet Sitters is bonded and insured, Pet First Aid and CPR certified, and we’re a member of Pet Sitters International.

What my clients say:

"The Pied Piper folks cared for my cat while I was away last weekend. When Laura arrived, the cat was in the hall, apparently having "escaped" while I was loading the car. Laura took the cat to her home when she had trouble with the key I left, and picked up another key from the building manager. The cat was home when I arrived, seemingly having enjoyed her adventure.

This level of care and concern is unusual in 2017. And I am very grateful. Pied Piper has my highest possible recommendation."
