Pet Sitters International announces leadership transition
The organization will maintain its existing mission and member-first approach while also exploring opportunities for growth and innovation.
KING, N.C. (May 27, 2026) — Pet Sitters International announced today that ownership of the organization has officially transitioned from Patti Moran to Adam and Rachel Foster.
Founded by Patti in 1994, Pet Sitters International (PSI) is the world’s leading educational association for professional pet sitters and dog walkers. This transition marks a new chapter for the organization, which remains committed to raising standards within the pet-care industry and providing members with access to the credentials, continuing education, and community they need to succeed.
“As I enter retirement after a long and rewarding career in the pet-sitting industry, I’m incredibly grateful for the support of our members, partners, and community over the years,” Patti said. “Positioning PSI for long-term growth and success through a successful transition was extremely important to me, and I’m confident that Adam and Rachel will continue the organization’s mission and values for years to come.”

Adam, the incoming CEO, said the organization will continue operating with its existing mission and member-first approach while also exploring new opportunities for growth and innovation.

The organization will continue operating under its current name, with no interruption to services or memberships.
